Legal Question in Workers Comp in New York
Hello i fell in 06/09 at my job due to the rugs being wet and not changed i filed wc and received pay for the month i was out. i continue working for the same company but my back has never beem the same since. i have the doubt in me if i can file a law suitdue to theur negligence.

Well you filed a worker's comp claim, so that is your exclusive remedy against your employer. But that doesn't mean you cannot look to others who might also be responsible. For example, if the company rents from somebody, such as a landlord, and the landlord has something to do with the rugs, you can sue the landlord. Then, ironically, the landlord can sue your employer for contribution/indemnification if the company has some liability and they will not be barred by worker's comp.
