Legal Question in Workers Comp in New York
I fell down the stairs at work.The ortho diagnosed low back strain and bilateral hip contusions.I have refferal to the physical therapy.Also,I shouldn't go to work for 2 weeks.Can I apply for unemployment compensation?

When you are injured in the course of your employment you are entitled to workers compensation benefits which will pay you a weekly payment if out of work more than seven days and pay for all injury related medical care. While consulting an attorney can be important, it is even more important to seek medical care, report the injury and then see where you are in a few weeks.
