Legal Question in Workers Comp in New York

I want my knee to not hurt any more

I had an accident at work on 12/24.The insurance company that the company I work for uses, keeps saying that they don't have my records, or any requests from my doctors' office, yet the doctors' office has sent them twice. The insurance office claims it takes hours to get faxes.Hours?

I right knee still causes me lots of pain.My doctor seems to not care very much either. How can I get someone to care about my injury? Can I go to another doctor?I have been walking on a partially torn ligament, and my doctor won't write a note limiting how much walking/standing is allowed and my work wants a note or they don't see why I try to limit myself(because the more I do the more it hurts). What can I do to get assistance with this painful matter?

First: you must file for 'worker's compensation'. That is where you will get assistance.

Workers Compensation is a little like SSD, except that it is paid for by your employer. Your employer is required by law to have workers comp insurance.

Give me a call and I will give you a consultation for no fee. I am an experienced attorney in this area of law.
