Legal Question in Workers Comp in New York

moved out of state

had neck and shoulder injury oct 03 at my job in ny, am recieving permanant partial checks ,comp knows i moved to nc and lawyer does to , its 3 months now and i need to go to the 3 docs i,m seeing in ny as i cannot see a doc in nc as its a ny claim, i now live 500 miles from the 3 docs and how do i get paid for mileage, do they pay 500 miles to ny and 500 miles back to nc, i carnt see that happening , its a inconvience for me going back and forth but nc docs will not take a ny comp claim lawyer told me to keep docs in ny so i,m going back to ny in 3 weeks any response on my mileage situation will be of help thanks

Any right to mileage reimbursement would arise under NY law, since that is the forum for your

comp claim. Ask your lawyer in NY.

In general, it is difficult to get insurance carriers to pay for mileage when someone moves because you created the situation. Good luck.
