Legal Question in Workers Comp in New York

proposed decision

I injured 3 finger tips at work 2 fingers have minor scarring the 3rd finger my doctor gave me 45% loss of and nothing for the other 2 although every day I expercience pain from all 3along with scarring I received a proposed decision for $1,480.for temp.and $1,966 for perm.disability to me the price does not seem fair for the amount of pain and injury my lawyer tells me not to expect more then this that is the max. I will get Im just wondering If that sounds about right? thanks in advance

I am sorry for your pain and injury. It is unfortunate, but there is a list of injuries and a dollar amount for each in the workers compensation law. I am sorry, but that is the law. these dollar amounts have not been revised in some time, but there is no support for raising them at this time. it may sound silly, but the best thing you can do is bring this to the atention of your state legislator.
