Legal Question in Workers Comp in New York
Unemployment benefits
Can I be denied unemployment benefits if I was just laid off (severance package was offered) but was also offered a job in another state (Florida)? I live in New York. I have to give my decision to the company by 4/15/09.

Re: Unemployment benefits
You can be denied benefits if you don't take the job and the Department of Labor learns of it.
