Legal Question in Workers Comp in New York
workers comp
my brother broke his foot on the job and is getting the run around getting surgery. He has contacted local attorneys but was told they would not handle this type of case because it is not NY state wc, but the federal gov. Any help or name of an attorney would be appreciated.

The reason why no attorney will take the case is because in the federal system it is impossible for the attorneys to get paid and the claimants have to give a retainer to the attorneys. It is a horrible system and nobody wins.
There are about 5 federal wc attorneys on the whole east coast. Google "federal workers comp attorney" and start making calls. I will not recommend anybody.
