Legal Question in Workers Comp in New York

workers compensation for illness

One of our patients is requesting that we fill out a workers comp form for payment. He is 20 years old and in training at the fire department. He was not feeling well for about 3 hours, and felt lightheaded, and his heart was racing. They took him to the ER, and followup here in the office a few days later. He said the Fire Department and EMT who took him to the ER says this is a comp. case. Please give me your thoughts. Thank you
