Legal Question in Business Law in New Zealand (Aotearoa)
Hi there, I have a guy who built me a website. I cant afford it any more so told him to take it off as i cant pay it. He wrote up a contract but did not state how much i have to pay and when. But now is demanding money from me all the time and saying i have to pay 400 a week which is impossible. He created me a Facebook page and a sign up form in the beginning which i paid off in full but now he has removed me from that and had used it twice for his own personal advertising. Can he sue me or can i sue him?

If he did work for you and you did not pay anything for it then he has a claim against you. If on the other hand you have paid for the Facebook page etc. and he is wthholding you from that then you have a claim against him.
Most likely this case would end up in the Disputes Tribunal with one party making the claim and the other making a counterclaim. In the end this may not achieve much for either side. You may be best to walk away. If he tries to sue you then you can make a counterclaim in return for what you have paid for.
