Re: What is civil law all about
The civil justice system is comprised of a series of courts where people take their greivances which can be rectified, usually, by money. Motor vehicle collisions, debt collections, mortgage foreclosures, are but a few of the types of lawsuits brought in the system. The trial courts are augmented by the appellate courts. Get a good civics book for an elaborate discussion of the legal system in this country. The other system is the criminal justice system. The two don't mix.
