disclosing criminal convictions
Am I obligated to disclose any criminal convictions that I have after a period of three years even if it is in a visa application to the United Kingdom

One, visa applications are based on the laws of the country you have sought to apply to. If they request for such information then you should divulge same to them.
Also note that at the end of most application forms you sign and affirm that all the information provided are to the best of your knowledge true. So if you have ever been convicted and you did not mention same, then you affirmation is false.
