Legal Question in Securities Law in Nigeria

Is it legal to have a loan through Nigeria I had a firn offer to loan me $2,000.00 at 3% interest. They forwarded me a contact and all they said they needed was a copy of my driver lic. for proff it was me. I not sure if it legal or not. They want to charge e $69.99 for processing fees. What do you think>

Organisations granting loans in Nigeria are usually authorised to do so by the relevant government agency. The first question you need to be asking yourself is did you apply for the loan? Its rather unusually for the organisation to ask for a copy of your driver's license and a processing fee of such an amount (coupled with the fact that the beneficiary of the loan seems to be resident outside of Nigeria).
