Re: representing

OK, let me guess. You got a letter from someone in Nigeria explaining that they need to get a huge sum of money out of the country because it was left over from some government project or some such bullhockey, and as a government official he cant legally handle the money. So he wants you to run it through your companys bank account here in the U.S., and for this modest service you will be generously rewarded. Yea, right. Welcome to one of the broadest and longest running con games on the planet the Nigerian 419 scam. This dog is legend in the law enforcement community, and thousands of people have lost millions of dollars over the years. Before doing ANYTHING further with this little bundle of misery, check it out. Take a look at http://www.quatloos.com/scams/nigerian.htm, and go from there. You will find many sources of information about this, including a website put up by the U.S. Secret Service. Many Americans have lost their savings in this scam, and a few have even wound up dead after going to Africa in pursuit of this pot of gold at the end of the illusionary rainbow.
