Legal Question in Workers Comp in North Carolina
I live in NC I. Was injured on the job and have placed on light duty my boss wants to reduce my pay until I am able to perform my full duties . is this legal?

Not exactly - but you will need to speak with a Workers Comp lawyer to make sure you get the compensation you are legally entitled to.
Generally speaking, you are entitled to 2/3 of the difference between what you were earning and what your employer wants to cut your pay to. This would be paid as Workers Comp.
