What are my options to this discrimination?
I work for a public school system in North Carolina and I have been employeed there for 4 yrs. I'm an at will employee. I have always gotten at or above standard on all of my yearly reviews until this year. I had been approved for the FMLA that covered six weeks. I was recently called into my principals office where she stated that I received below standard on all sections of my yearly review and that she ''Didn't see me being there next year''. But she didn't show me the review or have me sign it and she has no other documentation to support the poor preformance. She told me that I should consider other employment oportunities, that I had out grown my job (whatever that means) and that she would give me until June 16th to decide whether or not I wanted to come back to work there. She didn't fire me because she has no documentation to justify firing me, but she kept insisting that I quit on my own. She also told me that if I did decide to come back that I would have to work really hard to prove myself worth of the position. I feel as though because of my recent illness and absence that she is trying to imidate me into quiting. What should I do? What are my options? Should I contact the EEOC? Thank you.

Stay put and make them fire you.
You are entitled to a copy of your employment file, so get it. Then, speak with your union rep about your union-based options.
If they fire you, go to the EEO and file a complaint immediately. Then, hire an attorney to wait with you for your right to sue letter (the EEO usually does a quick investigation and then leaves you to handle it), to ensure that you get into court on time.
