Appealing from an adverse judgment is very difficult for a non-lawyer. I would strongly suggest that you speak with an attorney about that matter. In general, however, if there is a "final judgment," then you must (in state court) file a Notice of Appeal within thirty days of the entry of the judgment. You must then prepare the "record," and ultimately file the record and prepare a brief. All-in-all, it's a very difficult process, which would be almost impossible for a non-lawyer to do successfully.
