Legal Question in Appeals and Writs in North Carolina

How could I appeal an order from Civil Court.

I recently was in an (informal) trial for modification of a pre-exsisting Child Custody Court Order. I appeared pro se because I could not afford an attorney at the time. There For, I honestly was not provided a opportunity the present my case. Basically when I ask for an continuence, do to lack of representation, my request was denied. At this time the opposing consil said a few words and then the judge rendered a decision. The judge will soon sign this order. There For, I am seeking advice as to Appealling A Court-order. PS I am a man fighting for my right to be a part of my daughters' life.

I thank you for any answers to filing this appeal. God Bless You!

You should contact a father's rights group and get a lawyer immediately. Possibly a public defender could assist if you lost all visitation rights. Maybe a rehearing can be obtained. It is easier to change this now than on an appeal.
