small claim appeal

I recently won a small claim case in civil court, the case is being appeal,if I win the appeal can i sue for expenese I live in Michigan

What doesn't make sense is that generally there are no appeals in small claims cases. What expense did you incur? Travel? Travel expenses would not be allowed. Bill Stern
