Time For Court Decision

When a case has been appealed to the Supreme Court and all oral arguments have been made, how long does it take the Supreme Court to rule or make a decision/opinion?

Re: Time For Court Decision

If your reference is to the Mississippi Supreme Court, a written opinion will usually be handed down within 3 to 12 months following oral argument. This assumes that a panel (3 justices) sat for the oral argument. If the court sat en banc (all 9 justices), it could take longer. Also, the type or nature of the case can also make a difference. In short, there's really no good answer to your question.

I assume you are talking about the NC Supreme Court. The time for a decision can vary widely. It can be anywhere from 3 months to 2+ years. If they decide to affirm "per curiam," then it should be quickly.
