Legal Question in Banking Law in North Carolina

I recently applied for an online loan at a site called www.WilliamsOnlineCredit.com and they tried to charge me the application fee of $19 but my bank account did not have enough in it to pay for that fee. So, my bank charged me a returned item fee and the www.WilliamsOnlineCredit.com company charged me a fee (it said they would on the website) of $25. So, I paid my bank the fee they charged me and then closed the account so that the loan company could not try to get money from it again. I now owe the loan company of www.WilliamsOnlineCredit.com a total of $44, $19 for the application fee and $25 for the non sufficient funds fee. I have tried to contact them by email sending multiple emails with my name and phone number and address and requested that they call me or send me a bill or both and stated that I WILL pay the money to them and will do so with a Visa card over the phone and that I just need to talk to someone to do so. I have also tried calling the two numbers I could find for the company but everything including the emails (both phone numbers and the emails) are run by an automated service. As far as I can tell there is no way to actually talk to a real person with this company. I did some research on the company after the fact and there are hundreds of complaints about them stating that they are a fraud and try to scam people out of money and that no one can contact them. What should I do in terms of trying to contact them to pay them the $44? I don't want to get into any legal trouble with them because I have sent multiple emails and called their two different phone numbers and It has been about two and a half weeks since I originally applied with them for the loan (I did manage to cancel the loan so I was not lent any money) and I have not gotten anything in the mail, no calls from them and no emails. What should I do? The company's name is www.WilliamsOnlineCredit.com. Thanks in advance for any advice you could provide for me on how to handle this.

However, for $44, they are not going to sue. I would quit worrying about this. If it shows up on your credit report, it can be disputed.

Don't get loans at sites like this - they always turn out badly.
