I think the reason no one answered your question is that the problem is very, very complex.

I realize it sounds simple, but the law in this area depends on many specific facts - what kind of property the mortgage was on, how much the property was worth, how much is owed, who else has an interest in the property, etc.

Please, go back to the lawyer who handled the Chapter 13, and have this taken care of property - otherwise, you risk losing a lot.
