Legal Question in Bankruptcy in North Carolina
I have filed for bankruptcy locally because of a medical condition that I had a couple of years ago. Everything went well up until my 341 meeting today. My trustee (paralegal) tells me that my paperwork doesn't match up and told me that I needed to hire an attorney to help me figure it out. I called the trustee this afternoon and she told me she could not help me with anything. I I need help with it as I am trying to handle it myself. I need to know what is wrong with my paperwork..all she can tell me is that my B paperwork doesn't match up with my C paperwork. I am confused and need help
She won't even tell me anything that is in my paperwork ??

Unfortunately, the trustee's office cannot give you legal advice...going over the paperwork and fixing it is legal advice. Filing bankruptcy alone is very difficult for this very reason. You need to hire an attorney ASAP. But understand that an attorney will charge to help as they are taking on the liability of any mistakes.
And with all due respect, the fact that you are referring to it as paperwork b and paperwork c instead of schedules B and C as they are called, shows this is very foreign to you.
Schedule B is where you list all of your property. Schedule C is where you exempt (protect) your property from the trustee. If you do not fix this, you could lose valuable property.
