The 2005 amendments to the Bankruptcy Code provides that you cannot receive a discharge in a Chapter 7 case filed withing 8 years of a prior case in which a discharge was entered. (the old law had a 6 year disability period) There is relief available for you, including the filing of a Chapter 13. A bankruptcy lawyer will look at your specific circumstance and what remedies are available.
