Legal Question in Bankruptcy in North Carolina

My mother is defaulting and about to file for bankrupcty and somehow I am on her accounts and they are holding me responsible. I haven't lived with her for 8 years and am in another state. What can I do?

You are only liable for debt for which you agree to be liable for. The answer therefore, depends any agreements you have entered into with your mother and or her creditors.
