Legal Question in Business Law in North Carolina
We signed a contract with a wedding venue that requires that any vendors must be approved by them. We decided not to hire a photographer, but to have close family friends take photos for us. These close family friends happen to be professional photographers, however they are not insured. The wedding venue is now telling us that they won't allow our guests to take photos of our wedding because they are not approved vendors. However, it doesn't state anywhere in the contract that we have to hire a professional photographer. It just states that any vendor you sign a contract with must be approved. Does the venue have a right to refuse our guests rights to shoot photos of our wedding?
1 Answer from Attorneys
If the contract gives them the right to restrict photography int he facility, yes. If it doesn't, they shouldn't have the right to restrict guests taking picutres.,
