Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in North Carolina
If I live with someone who has been separated legally and his wife is threatening alienation of affection on me but we were not together until after separation could I still be sued? It's been way over a year since legal separated and we know have a daughter together. Is it easy to sue someone for such case?

Suing someone and winning can be two different things. Can you be sued..absolutely. Can the ex spouse win? Thats another story completely. To win she would need to show that you acted to end the relationship. If the evidence shows that you didn't come into the picture until after the separation, that should settle things.
Even if you weren't together, if you knew and/or had contact with the husband while they were together, you shoud amke sure you carefully recall all of your contact with him as circumstantial evidence is typically used in this type of matter and sometime harmless contact can be seen as damaging. For instance if you were co workers and worked late hours together, that would show an opportunity to cheat.
