Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in North Carolina
Sexual Harrassment in the Workplace
I am a manager at Subway Restaurant being sued by my employee claiming that I touched her inappropriately while I did not. Other than that, we have an employee handbook which was never handed to the employee regarding all policies of the store. Does she have a legitimate claim? What should I do?

Re: Sexual Harrassment in the Workplace
If she thinks she has a claim, she has a claim. Whether it is a valid claim or not, only the two of you will ever really know.
What you CAN do is not get into the position where she has the ability to make another claim.
She needs to get that employee handbook and sign for it. Surely, Subway has an official process that your branch should have followed, which included her getting the information she needs.
