Where can I find help getting a good attorney on low income?

That depends on the nature of the advice/help you're looking for. For example, if a person is charged criminally and is "indigent," the Court can appoint an attorney (depending also on the severity of the charge), although you may be required to repay the State if you are found guilty. As for other matters, there are some free legal services available, depending on your needs. I would probably start with Legal Services of NC, at http://www.lsnc.org/. They may be able to help you or refer you elsewhere. You can also call your local bar association and see if they have any "pro bono" programs.
