Legal Question in Consumer Law in North Carolina

We need some advice concerning our lemon AC from Sears. It has not work properly since buying it 3 years ago . We have a service agreement and continues to give us problems. What can we do?

I need to see the warranty agreement. Different parts might be warranted for different periods. Also, the "lemon law" only applies to cars generally. However, the warranty might define what will happen if the unit cannot be repaired. How many repair attempts have been made? Is the warranty still in affect? What is wrong with the unit now and what will it cost to fix it? How much will it cost to get another air conditioning contractor to give you an estimate as to what is wrong and what it will cost?

Feel free to contact me if you want me to review the warranty. Depending on the warranty language and what the independent contractor finds out, I may be able to send a letter to Sears or Sears Home Improvement. If you do not want to retain me, I would suggest that you send letters, via certified mail, to someone in authority at Sears and/or Sears' Home Improvement.
