Does a corporation have to use a lawyer to file a law suit, or can the president of the corporation file a lawsuit on behalf of the corporation?

There is some fairly recent law in North Carolina which indicates that except for a few select situations (e.g. landlord evicting a tenant), only a duly licensed attorney can represent a corporation in connection with a legal proceeding, otherwise the conduct of the corporation's agent (even the president) may be the unauthorized practice of law. You may want to consult with an attorney to discuss this further.
