Legal Question in Consumer Law in North Carolina

If an online auction closed (without reserve) and certificate of sale issued, then the seller decides to back out and the auctioneer tells them they could based on this condition "School Board reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to withdraw from sale any of the items listed" would buyer have any recourse? It would seem that the opportunity to reject offers or withdraw item would expire at the moment the auction closes and a bidder becomes the buyer. At this point it seems to be a breach of contract?

.If a governmental entity like a school board is selling something, then they probably have the right to ratify or reject the bid or sale price after the auction. This was probably disclosed in the very fine print at the auction. You need to consult a local lawyer in the community where the school board is located.
