Legal Question in Consumer Law in North Carolina
in the state of North carolina can you be arrested for non payment of rent a center property. I have already made close to $4,000 in payments to them I have fallen on hardtimes and cant pay right now.

Thee is a statute which allows criminal charges to be brought for failure to return rental property if you do not pay for it according to the terms of the contract. This is a misdemeanor offense which could result in fines, community service and even jail depending upon your past criminal record.
