Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in North Carolina

14 years ago our neighbor purposefully burned our car to the ground. A judgement was issued for $8,000 dollars, but the man had no income or any other source to pay us back. how to we find out if he has come in to any money to pay us back with? We have since moved.

Judgments are only viable for 10 years unless they are renewed. If the judgment was signed over 10 years ago and it was not renewed, you won't be able to collect from him on that judgment.
