That is a bit of a sticky wicket. The problem that I have encountered with a client of mine is that I could not find a valid US address for the pay day lender so that I could send them a cease and desist letter. The US addresses that I found were probably mailboxes at a UPS store and those are not helpful. If you can find a valid US address, write to them and tell them "do not contact me at work as my employer does not allow me to take personal calls." Use the magic words - they have to be written. Telling them really does no good.
Or contact the attorney general as I said and they will send a letter if to a valid US address. I can also do it for a fee if you have a valid address.
To get the address, write down the numbers that they use and Google (or whatever search engine you use) them. They will link you to sites and give you information about who is calling and their identity. You can then go to a place like the BBB for that city and state to look them up. The BBB will list the address if you can find it. You can also run a Whois search if you remember the website that you used. Sometimes the info is there.
The difficulty with payday lenders who are overseas is that they do not care about US or NC laws so they do not stop.
I have a few suggestions but you would need your boss or office co-workers to help if you know its them. You might try having a male (sounds more authoritative) call and ask them for information, pretending to be an agent. Or answer the phone and say "Joint drug task force - Agent Smith speaking." You will have a good laugh and they will probably hang up. Be creative!
Or just hang up. They can scream. yell, threaten to see you in court the next day (it will not happen - I promise - lawsuits don't work that way), break your legs, kidnap your child whatever. But they cannot do anything legally to you. Eventually, they will quit calling.
