Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in North Carolina
I borrowed money from a payday loan for which I have been unable to pay back. They have called my employer and son and sister and have told them the situation and told them that I am going to jail if I don't repay. What do I need to do.

Contact an attorney in your area. Any further calls, take notes of everything they say, who called, what time, etc. If your facts are accurate, they may have violated provisions of the fair debt collection practices act and you could either sue them or raise these issues as counterclaims if they sue you for the debt.
