Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in North Carolina

collections from Paypal on false claim
My wife and I are being harrassed by Paypal. We've received many collections agencies calling us in regards to an unauthorized charge against our account. We've filed charges as the amount was fraudulent and the cops have followed the leads and confirmed we were not to blame and we notified Paypal but they continue to send us to different collection agencies. I've been nice, I've given them info regarding the police findings, I've threatened with legal action and now they are using a company that is resorting to threats and harrassing phone calls. What can we do? I've called and they won't even identify themselves except with PRI and they won't even tell me what kind of comapny they are but who would do that but a collection agency? Please help
