Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in North Carolina

I am completeing forms for claiming exempt property from a judgment against myself. One question is: (I wish to claim as exempt any alimony, support, separate maintenance, or child support payments or funds that I have received or that I am entitled to receive. I understand these payments are exempt only to the extent that they are reasonably necessary for my support or for the support of a person dependent on me for support. ) Is this question also referring to my earnings from my job?

No. Wage earnings are exempt in North Carolina for most debts. The question just refers to either monies paid for your support because you are a former or current spouse or they are paid to you for a child who lives with you. That is it.
