Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in North Carolina
I have been contacted by a company out of CA called Member Service Provider affiliated with Pure Educational Financial services.com whom is telling me that they can get me a simple fix rate on my card to get it paid off quicker in a shorter time period. They also want to charge my card 1495 for doing this to help. Are these companies legitimate and is the legit or fraudulent? Please HELP?

I don't know without checking them out. However, if anybody wants you to pay a fee, my answer to them would be NO. Check the BBB, the Ripoff Report and other consumer sites. Are there any complaints? Google the company. How long have they been in business?
The answers to these questions will dictate whether they are legitimate or not.
You can get your card paid off quicker by doing a couple of things:
(1) transfer the debt on your card to a zero or lower interest rate card and paying that off;
(2) getting a personal loan at a low rate and paying off your high interest rate card;
(3) using the "ladder" method by paying only the3 minimums on your lower rate cards and throwing as much money at the highest rate card as you can until the balance is paid in full; in turn, throw what you were paying on the first card towards the second and keep on going down the line until all the cards are repaid; or
(4) making a payment every 2 weeks if you get paid bi-weekly and can afford this. The first payment will hopefully be enough to cover the interest and the second payment will go purely towards principal.
If none of these options will work, then pay the bill and keep on sending more than the monthly minimum. There is no way I would be paying a fee to anyone to pay my bills.
