Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in North Carolina

I cosigned a loan for a truck at CarMax for my then son in law in 2008. My daughter divorced him in 2010 and he is now 2 payments behind on the vehicle and CarMax is calling me for payment. I signed the loan agreement in NC but he has moved back to TX and has the truck there. I would like to know what options I have regarding taking possession of the vehicle and having it returned to NC. I feel that if I am going to be responsible for making the payments I should have possession of the truck.

You won't be able to effectively sue him to get possession of the property in NC when the property is in TX. If you know where he is, seek out an attorney in TX to handle it for you.
