Can a credit card company garnish your wages in North Carolina for the amount you owe???

If a creditor gets a judgment against you in a North Carolina court, nearly all of the time, the answer is no, they cannot garnish wages. If a credit card company gets a judgment for debt in another state that allows garnishment, it is often possible for them to garnish wages even after the judgment debtor moves to a non garnishment state like North Carolina.
