It is impossible to answer this question without more details and knowing all the particulars. You must consult with an attorney. If you can't afford to, maybe you would qualify to speak with a legal aid attorney. As a general rule, you need to answer the complaint or apply for an extension of time within 30 days or the Plaintiff will get a default judgment against you. If you admit the allegations in the complaint, then Plaintiff will most likely get summary judgment against you.
