My dad and a purchase funiture on the friends account at the same time on the same bill. My dad dies. There is a balance of $1400. I can show that my day had been making payments. The friend can not how much of the balance is my dad's. Can the friend take all the furniture? We asked for a itemized list of my dad's furniture and the cost. The friend can't provide it.

In the future, don't do this.
Why would your friend be able to take the furniture? The friend does not have a lien on it.
Your friend was kind enough to allow you to purchase the furniture on your friend's account. \
Why does the friend have to provide an itemized list of the cost? Don't you have a receipt from the store showing what was paid for the furniture? If you do not have one, can you get one? See.
Once you figure out what you paid for the furniture, you can add in any interest on the account and deduct the payments made by your father and see if the balance is correct.
Any other amount owed should be for items that the friend bought and he/she should be responsible for his/her own items.
