Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in North Carolina

I have engaged in some online gambling site and used my debit visa card to fund the gambling. I have decided that this site is ripping me off. If I decide to dispute the charged on my debit visa card can they come after me?

Not likely since gambling is illegal in NC and this place is probably offshore and they would have to hire an NC attorney. You might have to report any winnings to the IRS.

Debit cards are not like credit cards. The money comes from your checking account. You can dispute the charge, but the bank may decide that it was valid and make you pay. You should have shut down your debit card by now.
