Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in North Carolina

if a friend gave me a guitar to have 7 months ago and him and my dad dad got in a argument and he wants it back. Do i have to return in to him?

If the guitar was a gift, he has no legal right to get it back. If it was a loan or exchange, he can get it back if you agreement allows it.
