This was stupid of you. Identity theft is a crime. It will be up to your brother to decide if he wants to involve the police or not. If you just filled out credit card applications, then you need to close these acounts. You should close the bank account as well.

You should have a come to Jesus meeting with your brother, tell him what you did and hope that since you did not make any charges on the cards that he will forgive you and not go to the police.

If you think that your brother is the sort who will go to the police, then don't meet with him and get the accounts closed out.

Why would you even think of doing this and then admit that you did this on a public website?

I hope you realize that you made a mistake and will never do something like this again. Hopefully, things will work out and there will be no prosecution.
