Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in North Carolina
My husband's vehicle has been reposessed and I want to know the damage it will do to our credit if we can't afford to retrieve the car after the ten day grace period

Who was the registered owner of the car and who was on the car note? If it was both of you, then both of your credit reports will reflect this. If its just your husband, then only your husband.
Its going to hurt your credit a lot. This is not a good idea. If you have a lot of other debt, you might want to file for bankruptcy.
What will happen if the car is not redeemed is that it will be sold at an auto auction. Auctions do not typically bring in anywhere near what is owed (it depends on the car, its value and what was left owing though). Then the finance company will come after you for what is left. They can and will sue.
