Judgement

It appears a judgemnet stays on your credit for 10 years now, from what i was told back in 2001 it was for 7 years. i also have heard that it is 5 years. When did it change? what was it in 2001, 5 or 7 years?

In NC, a judgment is valid for 10 years - meaning it can be enforced during that period. The creditor can renew the judgment before the expiration of the 10 year period.

That is different from what appears on your credit report and for how long - check with the credit bureaus.
