Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in North Carolina

I have some judgements, from credit card companies, where I could not pay the amount owed due to job loss, income loss, etc etc. IF they put the judgement on my primary residence, how long does it affect title? My house is worth less than my 1st and 2nd mortgage so a forced sale would be no possible right?

A forced sale would probably not be possible. It will effect title for 10 years and then would need to be renewed by the creditor at that time. If they send you notice of rights to designate exemptions, make sure you fill it out and file with the clerk within 20 days of service.
