Motion to Claim Exempt Property
I have to fill out a motion to claim exempt property because of a judgment. When I claim personal property exemptions can I use general terms (like clothing, furniture, etc.)or must I list specific items and how do I determine the fair market value. I have nothing of any real value, everything is used, old, or cheap.

Re: Motion to Claim Exempt Property
You can use general descriptions. Fair market value equals yard sale value. Be sure to get the motion filed by the 20th day and send a copy to the creditor or their lawyer.
