i owe money
i owe the hospital $1,708 and i called them and i told them i would pay $10 a month and they told me no i had to pay half or all of it. so i didnt spend anything or try because i dont have the money now they are taking me to court i dont know what i am suppose to do because i have never been to court

Really don't know what to tell you. If you are being sued, you need to raise any applicable defenses such as statute of limitations, already paid, etc. You have a certain amount of time from the filing of the complaint or else they will get a default judgment against you. If you don't have any defenses, they will get a judgment against you anyway.
If they get a judgment against you, then then you will have a right to claim certain exemptions if you do it in the proper time frame.
